In a recent Q&A from The Division developer, Massive - it has been promised that PC users will not be marginalized in their upcoming third-person shooter. This seems to have been a great weight lifted off of the community, as many recent games are ported from their console version and do not function as well for computer users.
An excerpt from the Q&A:
"As you know, Massive has its roots in PC development. We are working hard and we want to make sure that we have a very high quality experience on PC. You can be sure that our PC version won’t be a port, but a full-fledged, optimized version! We want to create the best game possible regardless of what platform you play on."
After seeing Massive's Snowdrop engine reveal at the recent VGX broadcast, we're even more excited about the possibilities that The Division has on a high-end PC. With dynamic lighting and increased particle effects, it'll be even easier to immerse yourself in the realism of Tom Clancy's post-apocalyptic world.
You can expect The Division to drop in Q3 of 2014 on XB:ONE, PS4, and PC.
